| use | sodium chloroaurate is also called "sodium chloride alloy (Ⅲ)". Chemical formula NaAuCl4 2H2O. Molecular weight 397.80. Orange-yellow orthorhombic plate crystals. Easily soluble in water, ethanol and ether. It is stable in air and decomposes at 100 ℃. Preparation method: using 5% hydrochloric acid as solvent to make gold trichloride and sodium chloride. Uses: Used in photography, glass coloring and pharmacy. |
| use | sodium chloraurate instead of chlorauric acid to determine gold content in ores. The determination of gold content in ore is usually dissolved in aqua regia to form chloroauric acid and then determined by atomic absorption method or volumetric method. However, the stability of chloroauric acid solution is easily affected by factors such as temperature, acidity, concentration, external conditions and container adsorption. In order to improve the stability of chloroauric acid solution, alkali metals can be used to form relatively stable chloroauric acid salt, but it has not been really applied in practice. In this paper, a method for the determination of gold content in ore by using sodium chloraurate instead of chloroauric acid as standard solution is proposed. The standard solution prepared by this method has not been reduced for 3~4 months. The method uses activated carbon adsorption column to enrich gold, dissolve with aqua regia, and then add saturated sodium chloride solution to prepare sodium chlorobate solution. The content of gold was determined on Hitachi Z-2000 atomic absorption spectrophotometer by atomic absorption spectrometry. The experimental results show that the determination method is reliable, with small error and good stability. The absolute sensitivity of determination can reach 0.025 μg/g, and the determination range is 0.04~1000 μg/g, which is suitable for the determination of gold in large quantities of geological ore samples. |
